BLISSFUL CONTRIBUTIONS

Thanks go to Angela Murrin who emailed us her Blissful Contribution.

"I too am a handbag-aholic! I was given a fantastic book at Christmas called 'Handbags - The power of the purse' by Anna Johnston.
It has handbags from different decades and the history of them. It really is a brilliant present for those who adore handbags".

Blissful News

Laisterdyke College

Congratulations! To all the Year 10 textile students of Laisterdyke College in Bradford, Yorkshire, who have now finished their masterpieces. With the support of their textile teacher, they have completed a project to produce a handbag ‘suitable for a client attending Ladies day at Ascot’. Blissfulbags were delighted to be involved with this project, providing the brief for the assignment. All students are potentially our designers of the future without which my business would not exist. This project is an example of how schools and businesses can work together to unlock creativity and talent.
Well Done!! Here are some pics:

Blissful Chances

I was asked to create a special handbag for a bride- to- be. A challenge in its self. I had never met the girl and she by chance found Blissfulbags on a random Google search.
We ‘spoke’ only via email about the bag of her dreams and she was happy to let the creation evolve which indeed it did with its quirky personality as all handmade bags do. It was a gorgeous bag and much love and time was put into its creation. When the time came to send it off to its destination, I asked the bride-to-be her address. She gave her address being the same town where I live, great, I could deliver it and see her face when she opened the box . Then the hairs on the back of my neck stood on end (and still do every time I think of it), when she told me the Street and house number, she lives in the exact same house where I was born!!!...... what are the chances of that happening?!! Spooky! She loved the bag by the way. See under Spellbound.
